My Opinion | I completed my degree in Archaeology in 2008 and worked as an archaeologist until 2013. Recently I have been contemplating a masters degree. I chose to attend the Sanisera Archaeology Institute because I wanted to get more experience of fieldwork. Compared with other field schools Sanisera sounded like it had the most exciting archaeology. It certainly lived up to this expectation. Sanisera also has a fantastic balance of fieldwork and laboratory work. In addition to this they also held lectures on specific subjects but also general ones to keep people informed of the site. The staff were great at explaining information to us. They were very approachable and I always felt comfortable to ask questions and have a discussion. The school is very well organised so that pupils can focus their energy on learning. Attending the school has certainly inspired me to return to archaeology and pursue a masters degree. |
