We thank all of those who commented on the "Thinking in you" form that was sent out by mid-February through out Newsletter. It has helped us learn about your thoughts on a possible reopening of The Sanisera Archaeology Field School in 2021.
We continue being aware and prudent about this pandemic that affects us all. But we don't keep our arms down. We want to dig. A year has passed, but we retain our dreams.
We want to challenge COVID-19 and we are going to start promoting our projects that will start in May 2021. We will do it slowly, and progressively if conditions improve, waiting to see how this pandemic evolves.
Given the current situation, you may think it is more difficult to get to Spain right now than climb Mount Everest. But in reality, it is simpler than it seems. You just have to follow these three steps:
# 1You can fly from your country to Spain without any problem. From your place of origin, you can make your first stopover in Madrid (MAD) or Barcelona (BCN), and from there, take a second plane to the island of Menorca (MAH). We recommend that you buy your airline ticket with a flexible fare, with reimbursement insurance that covers the amount in case the airline cancels your trip.
# 2You must have a negative COVID-19 certificate (PCR Test), which you must do in a maximum of 72 hours before arriving in Spain. At your departing airport, you must show the negative certificate with your passport on several occasions, and also on your arrival in Spain, at each of the airports through which you pass.
# 348 hours before traveling to Spain, you must fill out a simple form that takes less than three minutes called Spain Travel Health - Sanitary Control Protocol. Download the application on your mobile and follow the steps. Check the website in English: https://www.spth.gob.es and so that you have no doubts, check the video that explains how to travel to Spain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9UjDoK06dQ&feature=emb_logo
That's it to flying to Spain.
And for your peace of mind, you should know that our organization will refund 100% of the cost of the course in case of cancellation for reasons related to the pandemic.
